A diagnosis of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is not something any child should have to endure at the beginning of their life. Babies with NEC may need one or more surgeries to help them survive inflamed or ruptured intestines, or they may not survive at all.

As a parent or guardian, you may be be shocked to learn that your child’s cow’s milk-based infant formula or fortifier is linked to incidence of NEC. If your family suffered the horrible consequences of that disease, you have our sympathy.

Although we wish we could reverse the harm, our attorneys at Keller Postman are here to fight for your family and see that formula manufacturers are held responsible.

Do I qualify for a lawsuit?

We represent parents of infants diagnosed with NEC against the manufacturers of Enfamil and Similac formula products. Their claims include that Enfamil and Similac are defectively designed and that the manufacturers of those products unlawfully failed to warn of that cow’s milk-based formula increases the risk of NEC in infants.

If your baby consumed cow’s milk-based infant formula and was diagnosed with NEC, you may qualify for legal action. We will work to help your family obtain justice and compensation.
