Law360: 3M Hit with $2.2M Verdict in Latest Earplug Bellwether Trial

Keller Postman is proud to have been on the trial team for the most recent plaintiffs’ victory in the 3M Combat Arms Earplugs MDL. Last week, U.S. Army Veteran Jonathan Vaughn won the 15^th bellwether trial in the massive litigation, with a jury verdict of $2.2 million.

To date, plaintiffs have won nine of the 15 bellwether cases in the multidistrict litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, with collective judgments totaling more than $222 million. The largest MDL in history, more than 280,000 service members have lodged claims against 3M for alleged hearing damage from using 3M’s CAEv2 earplugs, which they claim to be defective.
