Before joining Keller Postman, Michael served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida, where he disrupted identity-theft and financial-fraud schemes targeting banks, businesses, and individual consumers. He secured convictions in federal court, including in a wire fraud jury trial, and handled a wide range of cases involving money laundering, access-device fraud, narcotics distribution, child exploitation, and firearms offenses.
Michael previously represented victims who lost loved ones or suffered life-altering injuries due to the negligence of others. Earlier in his career, he advised clients facing federal criminal investigations and represented insurers in commercial coverage matters in federal court.
During law school at the University of Florida, Michael served as a judicial extern to Justice Robert J. Luck on the Florida Supreme Court. He graduated cum laude and was Executive Communications Editor of the Journal of Technology Law & Policy, and his note on child privacy in the age of social media was published in the journal’s Fall 2018 issue.
Before practicing law, Michael graduated with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served for five years as a reconnaissance officer in the United States Army. He led a scout platoon in Logar Province, Afghanistan, where he earned the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Action Badge.
Michael is licensed to practice law in Florida only.
"My calling is to stand up for everyday Americans. I fought for them in Afghanistan, I stood with them when they were catastrophically injured or grieving a loved one, and I sought justice for them as a federal prosecutor. Being a plaintiffs’ lawyer at Keller Postman is a continuation of that commitment and an opportunity to keep fighting for real people who deserve justice."
