Before joining Keller Postman, Colleen worked at Lowe, Yeager & Brown PLLC, where she specialized in legal ethics and appellate litigation. Her work there included complex appellate briefing and working with clients on professional responsibility matters requiring careful judgment, precision, and discretion. During her time there, Colleen was involved in litigation from the ground up – from research and case development to pre-trial strategy and multi-day trials.
Colleen most recently served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Cynthia R. Wyrick in the District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, where she worked on both civil and criminal matters, conducting research on legal questions, drafting orders and memorandum, and providing support in case management and courtroom procedures.
She graduated from the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law, where she served as Acquisitions Editor for the Tennessee Law Review. During her time in law school, Colleen published a paper in the American Journal of Law and Medicine titled Consent and Privacy in the Era of Precision Medicine and Biobanking Genomic Data.
Colleen’s path demonstrates a commitment to advocacy on behalf of her clients. Prior to law school, she served in the Peace Corps in Zambia and worked for a housing non-profit in Rochester, New York. Since law school she has also devoted time to healthcare access policy in Tennessee, co-drafting legislation with state and national partners, preparing talking points and committee testimony for legislators, and helping organize public forums on legislation’s impact on Tennessee communities.
Colleen is licensed to practice in Tennessee.
