Kiran is a trial and appellate lawyer who represents consumers, employees, businesses, and public enforcers in arbitrations and courts as part of the firm’s mass arbitration and public institutions practices.
Before joining Keller Postman, Kiran was a decorated federal prosecutor. Teams that Kiran led disrupted the activities of one of the world’s largest ransomware syndicates; broke up an ongoing $158 million Ponzi scheme; took down a massive credit card fraud factory run from inside a home; and uncovered several multimillion-dollar fraud rings exploiting the government’s emergency pandemic relief programs. For his efforts, Kiran received the 2024 Assistant Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service.
Kiran has significant litigation experience. As a prosecutor, he tried federal cases involving wire and bank fraud, aggravated identity theft, carjacking, and firearms offenses to guilty verdicts. He also prosecuted dozens of other cases resulting in convictions for narcotics distribution, money laundering, tax fraud, and bank robbery, among other offenses, and successfully argued and handled several criminal matters before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In his time at Keller Postman, Kiran has handled complex briefing and oral arguments in trial and appellate courts around the country.
Earlier in his career, Kiran represented both plaintiffs and defendants in fraud, whistleblower, and securities litigation and obtained favorable settlements and dismissals of pleadings. He also counseled clients facing internal investigations, government enforcement actions, and criminal prosecutions. Before that, Kiran worked at a large international law firm, where he advised corporations on antitrust issues related to mergers and acquisitions and defended clients against allegations of anticompetitive conduct.
Kiran was a law clerk to the Honorable Kathleen M. Williams of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a regular contributor to SCOTUSblog. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in government from Harvard College and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Kiran is barred in California, Florida, Maryland, and the District of Columbia only.
"I’ve been on both sides of all different types of litigation in my career. Nothing has given me more satisfaction than building tough cases and taking them to court, fighting the good fight for everyday people who have been wronged. That’s what I loved most about public service and is why I’m a plaintiffs’ lawyer."
